Purpose of the Azeemah Shura Committee

The Azeemah Shura Committee is a dedicated group of women entrusted with the responsibility of serving as advocates for women impacted by domestic violence. Guided by the principles of Islam and the teachings of justice, compassion, and accountability, our primary role is to ensure that the operations and decisions of Azeemah are aligned with its noble mission and Islamic guidelines.  None of the Shura Committee members are Directors of Azeemah.

As advocates, we are committed to:

1. Supporting Women in Need: Ensuring their dignity, safety, and well-being remains our utmost priority.

2. Upholding Islamic Values: Safeguarding that all actions, decisions, and allocations of resources within Azeemah are based on Islamic principles, fulfilling the organisation's intentions with sincerity and transparency.

3. Promoting Accountability: Providing counsel and oversight to ensure that funds and resources are utilised responsibly, clearly focusing on empowering and supporting women in need.

4 Fostering Trust: Serving as a bridge between the community and Azeemah, ensuring that the organisation’s mission remains steadfast and trust is upheld within the community. We ask Allah to guide our efforts, bless our intentions, and bring ease to all those we strive to support. May our collective work serve as a means of hope and healing for the women who turn to Azeemah in their time of need.

Securing funding is essential to provide vital support for women facing domestic abuse. These funds will help us create a safe environment for women, and provide support in finding them shelter, food and further educate them with the essentials they need to get back on their feet.  By investing in our initiative, you empower these women, equipping them with the skills and education necessary to build a brighter future. Together, we can make a significant impact and help them break free from their circumstances.
