Strength Resiliance Empowerment

Frequently Asked Questions

What does your logo represent?

Azeemah is an Arabic word signifying determination, willpower, inner strength and resilience to overcome challenges. The Azeemah logo features a butterfly with asymmetrical wings, one side sparse and the other full.  This design symbolises two key ideas: 1. Before finding herself and her identity, she may feel isolated with little support (represented by fewer butterflies). With Azeemah, she may gain access to a strong network of support depicted by the more abundant butterflies.  Azeemah stands as a sanctuary for women navigating domestic violence and abuse, empowering them to rebuild and thrive. 2. The butterfly represents transformation. Like a caterpillar in its cocoon, women may experience a period of growth and healing. When ready, they emerge as butterflies, embodying resistance and inner beauty. At Azeemah, these women can spread their wings and join a supportive community of others who understand their journey.

How Can I Help?

You can help in many ways, including volunteering your time, donating through our Go Fund Me account or simply attending the Hub and purchase a coffee, hijab or simply attending one of our fun activities. Please visit our activities page to see what's on. If you would like to donate your time, please email admin@azeemah.org.au

Can Men Enter the premises?

At Azeemah, we believe in creating opportunities for meaningful connection. Azeemah Eats is open to everyone, offering couples the perfect setting for a memorable "date night" experience filled with delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. Beyond this area, Azeemah's spaces and facilities are dedicated exclusively to women. This policy is in place to maintain the supportive and empowering environment that is central to our mission. However, on special occasions, men may be invited to participate in designated events, and we will notify our members in advance whenever possible. We deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation in preserving the unique atmosphere of Azeemah.

Are all your services owned by Azeemah?

To help us run the Hub some of the areas are run by other Women Organisations to help contribute to costs. Every sale they receive contributes towards raising funds for Azeemah. So the more you buy from them, the more you are supporting our cause.

How can I donate my proffessional time to support the cause?

If you are a professional (whether its a psychologist, lawyer or even an artist) that would like to contribute your time to run sessions, please email admin@azeemah.org.au. We would love to hear from you!

Securing funding is essential to provide vital support for women facing domestic abuse. These funds will help us create a safe environment for women, and provide support in finding them shelter, food and further educate them with the essentials they need to get back on their feet.  By investing in our initiative, you empower these women, equipping them with the skills and education necessary to build a brighter future. Together, we can make a significant impact and help them break free from their circumstances.
