Providing critical emotional and psychological support to help women and children

Counselling

This program aims to provide critical emotional and psychological support to help women and children affected by abuse heal from the trauma caused by their experiences. It specifically addresses the impacts of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and emotional and psychological abuse. Survivors of abuse often carry deep emotional scars that can significantly affect their ability to trust, form relationships, and rebuild their lives. The trauma experienced by these individuals can lead to lasting mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder(PTSD), and other emotional difficulties.
We will provide access to professional counselling services, offering individual therapy for survivors of abuse. These services will help survivors process their traumatic experiences in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment. A qualified social worker or case manager will be available to guide individuals through the process, ensuring they receive the appropriate mental health support. Our team will assist in facilitating referrals to additional mental health services, community resources, and support networks, ensuring that survivors have access to long-term trauma recovery resources.
In addition to individual therapy, we will provide group therapy and support groups where women and children can connect with others who have gone through similar experiences, sharing coping strategies and offering mutual emotional support. This social connection will help reduce feelings of isolation and empower survivors to feel understood and supported.
This therapeutic support will help survivors rebuild emotional resilience, enabling them to process the traumatic experiences they have faced and develop healthy coping mechanisms. It will also provide them with the tools they need to regain a sense of control and stability in their lives. By addressing the emotional and psychological effects of abuse, this program will play a pivotal role in the healing process, supporting survivors in their journey toward recovery and empowering them to lead more stable, fulfilling lives

Securing funding is essential to provide vital support for women facing domestic abuse. These funds will help us create a safe environment for women, and provide support in finding them shelter, food and further educate them with the essentials they need to get back on their feet.  By investing in our initiative, you empower these women, equipping them with the skills and education necessary to build a brighter future. Together, we can make a significant impact and help them break free from their circumstances.
