Employment and Upskilling

The goal of this program is to provide women with the necessary skills, resources, and support to gain financial independence and break free from abusive situations. This initiative specifically targets women who have been subjected to financial abuse and emotional and psychological abuse, both of which often trap survivors in cycles of dependency, leaving them unable to leave abusive relationships or take control of their futures. Many women in these circumstances lack the financial autonomy or confidence to make independent decisions, especially if their abuser has controlled their access to finances or undermined their self-worth.
We will assist women by offering practical support, such as resume writing, interview preparation, and in-house training to develop essential job skills. These services will help them enhance their employability and build confidence in their abilities. In addition, we will collaborate with local businesses, employment agencies, and other partners to offer job placements, internships, and volunteer opportunities. These placements will provide women with real-world experience and exposure, helping them rebuild their professional profiles and increase their chances of securing long-term employment.
The program will also focus on empowering women emotionally by offering work shops that address self-esteem and confidence-building. This will help combat the psychological effects of abuse, fostering resilience and the personal growth needed to take control of their lives. By equipping women with the tools and skills they need to become financially independent, this program aims to break the cycle of dependency on their abusers. Financial independence is a critical factor in leaving an abusive relationship, as it enables women to make autonomous decisions, access housing, and regain control over their lives. Ultimately, this program will support women in building a future free from abuse, where they can thrive financially, emotionally, and personally.
