Housing Support

Helping women and children who may become homeless

Housing Support

The objective of this program is to provide women escaping abusive situations with safe, secure housing to prevent homelessness and offer stability during their recovery process. This program specifically targets women who have been victims of physical abuse, emotional and psychological abuse, financial abuse, and domestic violence. Many of these women are often left financially vulnerable, isolated, and without a safe place to go. As a result, they are at risk of homelessness, further exploitation, or continued exposure to abuse.

Our program offers immediate housing support, including rent assistance to cover initial rent and bond payments for women and their children fleeing abuse. This immediate intervention aims to prevent further trauma and instability in their relationships. We will also assist in securing long-term housing solutions by helping women find shared accommodations, connecting them with subsidised housing options, and providing support to ensure they settle into safe, stable homes.

For women who are victims of financial abuse—where financial control is often a form of manipulation by an abuser—securing housing is even more difficult. These women may lack the financial means or independence to rent a property on their own.combat the psychological effects of abuse, fostering resilience and the personal growth needed to take control of their lives. By equipping women with the tools and skills they need to become financially independent, this program aims to break the cycle of dependency on their abusers. Financial independence is a critical factor in leaving an abusive relationship, as it enables women to make autonomous decisions, access housing, and regain control over their lives. Ultimately, this program will support women in building a future free from abuse, where they can thrive financially, emotionally, and personally

Azeemah

Securing funding is essential to provide vital support for women facing domestic abuse. These funds will help us create a safe environment for women, and provide support in finding them shelter, food and further educate them with the essentials they need to get back on their feet.  By investing in our initiative, you empower these women, equipping them with the skills and education necessary to build a brighter future. Together, we can make a significant impact and help them break free from their circumstances.
